SLOTS OPEN FOR BRENHAM PD’S C.P.A.

  

A few spots remain for the next class of the Brenham Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy.

The next edition of the local CPA class starts Thursday Feb. 12.

Anyone wishing to participate needs to get their applications into Cpl. Chris Jackson at cjackson@cityofbrenham.org or call 979-337-7324.

According to Jackson, the CPA is “an educational program which allows the community to see inside the world of law enforcement and what is involved with the officers’ daily duties.”

The program features tours, lectures, demonstrations and ‘hands-on’ experiences to gain insight into the policies and procedures of the department.

The 12-week long classes are held at the Brenham Police Department and are open, free of charge, to anyone who lives in Washington County who is at least 17 years of age.

Applications are available at the department, 1800 Longwood Drive. The deadline to apply for the class is Thursday, Feb. 5.
