SMALL BUSINESS FORUM SET FOR TUESDAY

Small business owners and managers are preparing for the Fifth Annual Small Business Forum tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Fireman’s Training Center in Brenham.

This annual forum, co-hosted by the Washington County, Navasota-Grimes County and Burleson County chambers, provides locals the opportunity to hear from powerful speakers and gain professional contacts.  Sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Brenham National Bank and Citizens State Bank, the forum will discuss issues important to small businesses.

The presentation of the Small Business of the Year Awards for 2018 will be the highpoint of the event.  The award will be presented by State Representative-Elect Ben Leman.  Last year, the honor was given to Independence Coffee and Del Sol Food Company.  The keynote speaker will be Jeff Tobaben, CEO and Founding Partner of Evolve Performance Group.  Other speakers include Matt Prochaska, from the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation, Russell Dempsey, Michelle Taylor, Christian Collins, from Kevin Brady’s Congressional office, and David Hagy, from Texas Central Partners.

The forum opens at 8:30 a.m., with opening remarks by State Senator Lois Kolkhorst.  The lunch buffet will open at 11:45, with the forum adjourning at 1:30 p.m.  Registration is still open online at BrenhamTexas.com, with individual tickets at $49 and table sponsor status at $499.  The event will be held at the Fireman’s Training Center, on 1100 Highway 290, in Brenham.
