SNOOK ISD TENTATIVELY APPROVES INTERNET DEAL
The Snook school board has approved a plan for the installation of a broadband fiber optic internet connection.
The board approved a contract with Suddenlink Communications of Bryan for $336,000.
There is one condition – the district must be approved for E-rate funding.
Superintendent Brenda Krchnak says if the district gets the funding, then 80-percent of the cost of the internet would be paid through the funding.
The district would pay the rest, pro-rated over four years.
