SOBER SLEIGH MESSAGE ENCOURAGES SOBER DRIVING

The Texas Department of Transportation is encouraging people to find a “sober sleigh ride” due to the usual number of drunk driving incident this time of year.

The Sober Ride Sleigh has been traveling around College Station, Bryan and Navasota to get out the sober driving message, and getting people to sign a pledge of sober driving, and when they did, they were entered to win prizes.

The number of crashes in Texas in 2013 was 2,367, and of those there were 763 injuries and 93 death due to drinking and driving, so the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and TXDOT want to remind people that they will be out looking for intoxicated drivers.
