A Somerville man, indicted on his third driving while intoxicated charge in November, was charged with another DWI Christmas Day.
According to police, 37-year old Rodrick Jermaine Gibson was arrested just before 3 p.m. Wednesday as he drove 20 miles below the speed limit on Harvey Mitchell Parkway and stopped nearly two car lengths behind a designated stop point.
Dispatchers had received a call reporting that Gibson had been driving his Chevy Malibu west on the eastbound lanes of Harvey Mitchell before turning around at Welsh Avenue.
According to the report, Gibson admitted to drinking a beer before driving and smoking a PCP.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated three or more times, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, as well as first-degree felony possession of 4.2 grams of PCP, which carries a punishment of five to 99 years in prison, and misdemeanor driving with an invalid license.
Gibson remains behind bars in lieu of $38,000 bail.
