SOMERVILLE WOMAN KILLED IN BRYAN ACCIDENT
A 52-year-old Somerville woman is dead after a two-vehicle accident on State Highway 47 in Bryan, Monday night.
Margaret Alexander of Somerville died at St. Joseph’s Hospital following the accident that occurred just after 6:30 at the intersection of Highway 47 and Health Science Center Parkway.
According to Bryan Police, Alexander was southbound on 47, when a Land Rover changed lanes and rear ended her vehicle, sending the Volkswagen spinning into a concrete barrier.
Authorities say Alexander was not wearing a seatbelt. The 16-year old driver of the Land Rover was not injured in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
No charges have been filed.
