SPATES TO PLAY IN SOCCER ALL-STAR GAME, SATURDAY

Brenham Cubette soccer soccer star Au’Dresha Spates will be playing in the Region III All-Star Soccer Game, Saturday morning in Temple.
Spates, a senior forward for the Cubettes, led the team with 19 goals and 12 assists. She was named Co-Offensive MVP and First Team All-District.
Spates helped lead the Cubettes reach the quarterfinals of the Region III/4A playoffs.
Spates, a three-sport athlete, received the Owen E. Erekson Female Athlete of the Year award at the Brenham High School sports banquet in May. She played volleyball and ran track in addition to playing soccer.
Spates will be playing soccer for Tyler Junior College next fall.
Saturday’s Region All-Star game is set for Wilson-Kerzee Field in Temple at 9:30 a.m.
