SPRING MAN ARRESTED FOR SECOND OFFENSE DWI

A Spring man faces charges of Second Offense Driving While Intoxicated after his arrest Monday morning.
Monday at 7:20 a.m. Sgt. Curtiss Schoen was dispatched to the 500 block of US 290 West in reference to a man asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle, which was still running.
As he approached the vehicle, he noticed damage to the vehicle.
Schoen woke the driver, 57-year old Curtis Mack Mumphord of Spring.
Schoen says he could smell alcohol on Mumphord, who couldn’t perform a field sobriety test.
Mumphord is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd Offense.
