Deputies were first called just over a week ago out to a store at the 4700 block of Highway 290 East.

Store video showed a man placing several pairs of Lucchese boots under his clothing and leaving the store without paying.

This past Tuesday an employee of the store contacted the Sheriff’s office and said the same man had been back in the store.

The suspect headed West on 290 and deputies found his car parked in the lot of another store at the 1800 block of Highway 290 West.  When he left the store, deputies pulled the car over.

The driver, 43-year old Troy Shane Gibson of Spring was wanted on two felony theft warrants out of Angleton.

In the vehicle, deputies found two pairs of Lucchese boots they confirmed were stolen from the first store back on October 7th.

Gibson is currently in custody at the Washington County Jail.
