STORM DAMAGE IN OTHER AREAS OF THE BRAZOS VALLEY

  

On Thursday, Two tornadoes touched down near Navasota. Tornado #1 touched down 6 miles SSE of Navasota. Tornado #2 touched down 7 miles SSE of Navasota. No injuries were reported during either tornado.

Residents of Clay are cut off on both sides of Highway 50 due to flooding. According to Duane Strange, Burleson County Emergency Coordinator, they are currently working on getting a plane into the area to rescue those still stranded in Clay. Commissioners are also working on assessing the damages of the roads in their precincts.

A culvert has washed away a section Greens Prairie Road West between Regal Oaks Drive and Sweetwater Drive.

Residents in the Deer Forest community were left stranded when bridges collapsed on FM 1361.
