STUFFED ANIMAL SLEEPOVER AT STAR OF THE REPUBLIC MUSEUM

The Star of the Republic Museum at Washington on the Brazos State Park is planning a unique event to welcome its newest staff member.

Kids are invited to bring their stuffed animals to meet Bunsen Bunny, the newest Star of the Republic Museum staffer.  Bunsen Bunny, a stuffed animal, will host a stuffed animal sleepover at the museum Friday evening, August 18th.  But it will be the stuffed animals sleeping over….not the kids.

Children are invited to bring their stuffed animals to the Star of the Republic Museum from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 18th.  They can take a selfie tour of the first floor, play in the Pioneer Room, and hear a story before their stuffed animal gets ready for bed.  Museum staff will send the kids photos of their animals enjoying the slumber party.  On Saturday, when they return to pick up their stuffed friends, the kids can make a craft.

Bunsen Bunny’s sleepover is limited to 15 stuffed animals, and the cost is $5 per child, plus regular admission fees.  If you are interested, call Donna Barker at 936-878-2461 extension 245 to register.
