SUBJECT IN BURELSON CO. BANK ROBBERY IDENTIFIED

  

The subject in the Burleson Co. Citizen’s State Bank robbery has been identified.

41 year old, Henry Washington Brooks, of Dime Box was found approximately 3.9 miles from the bank after he was followed by two witnesses to County Road 130 where a crash occurred.

There was a large sum of cash recovered from the truck. The firearm used in the robbery is described as a small caliber handgun.

Brooks was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace, James Baldwin. The autopsy was conducted at the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office Friday morning with the cause of death listed as a single gunshot wound to the head with what appears to be a small caliber handgun.

The Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers, and the Texas Department of Public Safety are continuing their investigation of this incident.
