SUBURBAN SLAMS INTO BUILDING
Four people were taken to the hospital after Brenham Police and emergency personnel were called to the scene of an early morning accident in which an SUV crashed into a building.
Authorities were called out shortly after 8:00 a.m. to 301 East Academy, at the intersection with North Market St., where a Chevy Suburban slammed into the Brenham Clinic Specialty Center.
Police say a woman was taking her husband to a doctor’s appointment in the building when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes. The Suburban went through the building’s wall and struck two people inside the Center.
Police have identified the couple in the vehicle as: Judy and Robert Jeske.
Police report the passenger was able to get out of the vehicle after being briefly trapped inside. One of the people in the waiting room was trapped under the vehicle.
Three patients were taken to Scott and White-Brenham Hospital with unknown injuries, the fourth was taken to a College Station hospital.
The two in the center's waiting room have been identified as: Sandra Lange and Robert Marilyn.
Just talked with Ray Bentke. He is in great spirits not too much pain. So happy it wasn’t worse!
That is unfortunate for all. Hope that everyone recuperates quickly.
So happy that no one was killed !
