SUNDAY BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Sunday right before 7am, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to 107 Chauncy Street for a residential structure Fire. BFD responders found light smoke coming from the roof of the structure and the fire was located at the back of the structure. The occupants of the residence were trying to extinguish the fire with a garden hose. Smoke was removed from the structure. Fire damage was confined to a bathroom that had fire damage to an interior and exterior wall, the shower and moderate smoke damage throughout the structure.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brenham Fire Marshal's office.

Also on Sunday around 3:45pm, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to 807 W Alamo, to a reported electrical power line arcing in a tree. A passerby reported the problem.

BFD responders checked the area of the reported problem. There was no power line arcing and the residents in the area were not having any electrical problems in their homes.

No action was taken by BFD and the City of Brenham Electric Department was notified of the reported problem.
