Elizabeth Rex has Down’s Syndrome, autism and other impairments.  She went missing Monday and the family immediately suspected Johnson.

Johnson had come to the Elizabeth’s family because he told them he had colon cancer and had no place to go.  After he apparently made advances to Elizabeth, the family told him to leave.

Johnson repeatedly called the family, taunting them, and saying they would never see her again.  Police used those cell phone signals track Johnson down.

Elizabeth’s mother, Jennifer Black went to Harlingen Wednesday night to pick up her teen daughter.  They found her at the Harlingen police station and began their journey back to Houston.
