TAYLON SHEPARD NAMED TO ALL-STAR GAME
Brenham Cubs’ defensive lineman Taylon Shepard has been chosen to play in the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star Football Game in San Antonio July 22.
Shepard was a key part of the Cubs’ defensive that reached the 4A State Championship game in Arlington.
Shepard was a unanimous first team All-District 18-4A. He had eight sacks and one fumble recovery for the season.
Shepard has signed a national letter-of-intent to play at Blinn College.
Defensive tackle Jordan Wells from Navasota will also play for the South team.
Center Seth Blendermann from
Magnolia West is the only other 18-4A player selected to the all-star game.
