TEAM HUDSON UT MITOCHRONDRIAL FUNDRAISER

The UT Mitochondrial Foundation is holding its third annual Team Hudson and Trace Benefit  Friday at the Fireman’s Training Center.

‘Team Hudson,’ honors Hudson Shaper, the son of Jake and Nicole Sharper.  They are joined by team ‘Not Without a Trace’ which honors Trace Wehring, the son of Thomas and Laurie Wehring.

Every thirty minutes, a child in the United States is born with a mitochondrial disease.  Currently there is no cure, nor is there any truly  effective treatment.

This benefit is one of the ways you can help find a treatment for children such as Hudson and Trace.

Greg Harrison of Team Hudson says you can look forward to a great night of fun and helping find a cure.

The benefit begins at six Friday night.  You can enjoy chili and Kountry Boys Sausage Wraps.  There will also be live and silent auctions, and fun and games.

They will also have  a ‘star packed’ lineup of musicians including Wesley Westbook, Anthony Moreno, Craig Harrison, Robbie Wooten, Stephen Marshal and Robert Zientek.

Tickets are $12 for adults and five for children six to 12.  They are available at the Woodmen of the World, at 1400 South Austin in Brenham of by calling 836 8232..
