TEN SENTENCED IN 21ST JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT THIS WEEK

A 27 year old Houston man has been sentenced to 15 years in this week’s 21st judicial district court. Ricky Dewayne Brown was sentenced to 15 years for aggravated robbery.  Brown was arrested by Brenham Police in April of last year in a "bank jugging" case along with Robert Clark.  Clark was sentenced to 45 years in prison earlier this month for his involvement in the crime.  Brown and Clark followed an elderly Brenham couple home from the bank, pushed the gentleman (84 years of age) to the ground and drove off with their recent cash withdrawal.

Also sentenced in this week’s district court:

38 year old Daniel Rosenkranz of Brenham was sentenced to 8 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for delivery of a controlled substance from February 4th of this year and 5 years for the same offense on February 10th of this year. Rosenkranz was also sentenced to 5 years for evading arrest with a vehicle.  Rosenkranz was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff's Office after a high speed chase.  He fled a traffic stop on motorcycle, at one point traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of highway 290.

20 year old Lachristian Devon Hall of Brenham had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 5 years in prison for a June 2013 offense of theft of cattle.

24 year old Chaise Daniel of Brenham was sentenced to 4 years for possession of a controlled substance in January. Daniel was also given two 18 month sentences for two separate charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in February.

48 year old Emmitt Moore Jr. of Hempstead had his probation revoked and sentenced to 12 months and a $750 fine for theft of property.

17 year old Jah’la Johnson of Brenham was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation, a $1,500 fine, $4,000 restitution, 200 hours of community service

Both 19 year old Andrew Nathaniel Crawford of Washington Texas and 17 year old Timothy James Brown were also sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation, a $1,500 fine, $4,000 restitution, 200 hours of community service each for separate burglary of a habitation offenses in March.

44 year old Barbara Kubeczka of Brenham was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication probation, a $1,000 fine, and 160 hours of community service for fraud use/possession of identifying information/elderly in January of 2015.

18 year old Jessica Ann Hutcherson of Brenham was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation and 120 hours of community service for an April 2015 offense of criminal mischief.
