TEXAS A&M FRATERNITY CEASES ACTIVITIES AFTER MEMBER DEATH

The Texas A&M fraternity at the center of a death investigation has stopped its start of school activities for the time being.

Sigma Nu Fraternity Executive Director, Brad Beacham, says that the Texas A&M chapter has “ceased its own activities” in the wake of the member's death.

Anton Gridnev, 19, is believed to have died of a drug overdose early Saturday morning at the fraternity house. Four fraternity members have been arrested on drug charges, while investigators say they found ecstasy, LSD, and marijuana inside the house.

This comes as police confirm members of the house moved Gridnev’s body after finding him unconscious in an attempt to cover up the drug activity.

The College Station Police Department says they are working with the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office to determine if more charges will be filed.
