TEXAS ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL MAKES DONATIONS

The Texas Arts and Music Festival presented the Brenham High School Art Program and The Blinn College Foundation each with a donation of $1000 (Friday) morning.  The donations were presented in front on the murals that were painted during the festival last year on Commerce Street.

Texas Arts and Music Festival is a local non-profit organization created in 2016 to bring more visual artwork, music, and culture to Brenham and provide art education in the form of financial support to the schools.

Last October, the festival drew over 4,000 people and featured three stages with over ten bands, a film screening at the Simon Theatre, an Art Village, and live mural artists who painted artwork on walls in downtown Brenham.

This year’s Texas Arts and Music Festival is planned for October 20th through the 22nd  in downtown Brenham.   For more information, visit TexasArtsandMusicFestival.com.

Brenham High School Art students (L to R) Kaitlin Kornegay, Delaney Duran, Gale Gray, Christie Pollard and Teacher Erin Daniels accept the donation from the Texas Arts and Music Festival Friday.
Representatives from The Blinn College Foundation and the Blinn Fine Arts Department accept the donation from the Texas Arts and Music Festival.
