TEXAS DEMOCRATS WILL NOT SUPPORT ONE SENATE CANDIDATE

At the top of each primary ballot is a pledge to support the nominee of the party.  The Chair of the Texas Democratic Party may have some second thoughts about the pledge if one candidate receives the party’s nomination for U.S. Senator.

Gilberto Hinojosa  is sending out an email to the state’s Democrats  urging them not to support or vote for Kesha Rogers.

Rogers is associated with the Lyndon LaRouche political movement and has been calling for the impeachment of President Obama.  They have made frequent appearances in public places, including the post office in Brenham, depicting the president with a square Hitler style moustache.

Rogers is a perennial candidate and was nominated for a U.S. Congressional seat two years ago.

Hinojosa called Roger’s candidacy an insult, saying she also favors colonizing Mars.

There are five candidates for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senator this year.

Whoever wins will take on the likely Republican nominee John Cornyn in the November election.
