TEXAS GAS PRICES FALL 3-CENTS THIS WEEK

Texas gasoline prices have dropped 3 cents per gallon this week.

AAA Texas today (Thursday) reported the statewide average at the pump was $2.06 per gallon. Drivers across the U.S. are paying an average $2.22 per gallon, down 4 cents from a week ago.

Drivers in Washington County are paying, on average, slightly more at 2.08 per gallon.

Amarillo has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $1.89 per gallon. The association survey found El Paso with the most expensive gasoline statewide this week at $2.14 per gallon.

AAA says the prices at the pump should continue to slide since wholesale gasoline prices and crude oil prices have both slipped in the last week.

The average Texas gasoline price a year ago at this time was 50 cents higher, at $2.56 a gallon.
