TEXAS REDS STEAK AND GRAPE FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

The 10th Annual Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival will feature some new additions to the annual event taking place this weekend.TEXASRED10years

This year, visitors can enjoy music and browse the vendor booths at no charge. However, tickets must be purchased in order to participate in the Texas Wine tasting, Craft Beer tasting, Friday night VIP Kick-off Party, Saturday night steak dinner and the Kid Zone.

Tonight (Thursday) will start the festival off with a new event called the “Farm-to-Table Dinner” at the Messina Hof Winery and Resort. Attendees will be greeted with a sparkling wine welcome and hors d'oeuvres followed by a three course dinner, crafted by the Executive Chef at the Vintage House Restaurant. Each course will be paired with Messina Hof wine.

Also new this year is the Sunday steak and egg brunch. The brunch will feature a create-your-own omelet station, brunch enchiladas, and a pancakes and waffles station complete with Texas wines and mimosas.

Sandy Farris, the Exectutive Director for the Downtown Bryan Association, says there's a fun new feature for the event:

Tickets can be bought both online or the day of the festival. However, some events have limited tickets such as the special event dinners, so advance purchase is recommended. Farris says they are expecting a lot of people to turn out for the event:

The festival is a celebration of two major industries in Texas: beef and wine. Started in 2007 by the City of Bryan, the Texas Reds Festival was established to showcase the revitalization of Downtown Bryan. Since taking over management of the festival in 2014, the Downtown Bryan Association has given back almost $25,000 to local non-profit and civic organizations and awarded scholarships to Bryan ISD graduates
