TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TO KICK OFF 40TH ANNIVERSARY TODAY

  

 

The Texas Renaissance Festival will be kicking off its annual festivities today, and will include some new activities to commemorate its 40th anniversary, including the King Midas Masquerade.

Renfest Spokesman Cory Brock adds that for the Masquerade event, Guest will be required to wear a costume and are required to wear a mask or face paint.

Also included this year and just finished up is the Sword and the Stone event.

 

Also included in the Oktoberfest festivities is Real Musgrave, an internationally known creator of Pocket Dragons. Musgrave has a long, special relationship with the festival.

Musgrave will make an appearance to sign commemorative posters and other festival items, and will participate in a special commemorative coin toss,

 

This year’s Renaissance Festival runs from October 11th through November 30th, as well as Thanksgiving Friday. More information can be obtained from the Renfest website at http://www.texrenfest.com/
