TEXAS WORD WRANGLER FESTIVAL FRIDAY IN GIDDINGS

A “Celebration of Texas Tradition” is set for Friday in Giddings.WORD WRANGLER PHOTO

The Texas Word Wrangler festival has been held annually in Giddings since 2005.

Every year authors submit their stories to the Giddings Public Library and up to 30 are chosen to be featured at the festival.

The event is an opportunity for authors to meet the public and sell and sign their books.  To be in the festival, an author must either have a new book that has been published within the last year or they must be a first-time attendee.

The festival is open to the public between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Giddings Public Library and Cultural Center on North Orange Street.

There will be question and answer opportunities with the authors throughout the day.

Cactus Ken from KTEX-106 will be broadcasting live from 9:00-to-10:00 am.
