A group of tourism leaders and historians are attending a conference in Brenham yesterday and today (Wednesday).  The Texian Rally Workshop is being hosted by Texas Independence Trail Region (TITR).  The conference includes a number of speakers who are involved in Historical Tourism.  This morning, Bryan Preston with the Texas General Land Office spoke to the group about the preservation efforts at the Alamo.  He explains how that ties into the conference.

Those attending the conference are also getting a tour of several historical sites in downtown Brenham including the Brenham Fire Museum and the Barnhill Center and Simon Theatre.

Main Street Director Jennifer Eckermann gives a tour to the group of the Barnhill Center and Simon Theater.
