THIRTEEN PLEAD GUILTY IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT

  

Thirteen persons plead guilty to felony offenses and received terms ranging from probation to prison terms on Thursday, February 12th, according to Washington County District Attorney Julie Renken.

Twenty-one year old Adrienne August of Houston plead guilty to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity from June 24, 2014, and was sentenced to four years in the TDCJ, ordered to pay court cost and a warrant fee. August also plead guilty to Burglary of a Building from June 24, 2014 and was sentenced to four years in the TDCJ and to pay court cost.

Thirty-four year old Scott Sparkman of Houston, plead guilty to Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon from July 7, 2014 and was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ and to pay court cost.

 

 

ROLLIN, LEONARD BENJAMIN small

Fifty-two year old Leonard Benjamin Rollins of Houston, plead guilty to theft with two previous convictions from May 6, 2014, and was sentenced to 13 months in the TDCJ.

Rollins, along with an elderly accomplice, were arrested near Bellville after stealing a riding lawnmower from the Brenham Walmart. His accomplice, seventy-three year old John Henry Braden, of Houston, was also arrested.

Eighteen-year old Terry Dewayne Rogers of Brenham, plead guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle from September 17, 2014. He was sentenced to 12 months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and ordered to pay court cost, and $2,827 restitution.

Thirty-seven year old Brittney Winklemann of Brenham, plead guilty to Assault of a Public Servant from January 6, 2015, and was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication probation, court cost, court appointed attorney fee, 150 hours of community service ,and no contact with the victim in the case.

She also plead guilty to evading arrest/detention with a vehicle from January 6, 2015, sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication, probation, court cost, court appointed attorney fee.

Also plead guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance from January 6, 2015, and was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication probation, court cost, court appointed attorney’s fee, successfully complete a substance abuse felony punishment facility program, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide DNA sample and urinalysis.

Thirty-five year old Ashley Lydia Cannon of Somerville, plead guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle from June 19,2014 and plead guilty to Forgery from December 30, 2013. She was sentenced to ten years in the TDCJ, probated for ten years, ordered to pay court cost, her court-appointed attorney fee, a $50 Crime Stoppers fee, 400 hours of community service restitution, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, must attend and successfully complete the New Life women’s Recovery program, and provide DNA sample and urinalysis.

Seventeen-year old Freddrick Santee of Washington, Texas, plead guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle from September 17, 2014, and was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ, probated for five years, court cost, $2827.62 restitution, no contact with the victim in the case, no contact with co-defendant in the case, must wear a GPS monitor, has a curfew of 10pm to 6am on weekdays and 11:00pm to 6am on weekends, provide DNA sample and urinalysis.

 

Thirty-year old Zachary Alexander Truby, of Washington , Texas, plead guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance from March 22, 2014, and was sentenced to four years deferred adjudication probation, a $1500 fine, court cost, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, 150 hours community service restitution, provide DNA sample and urinalysis.

Twenty-nine year old Jessie Clark Kimble, Jr of Brenham, plead guilty to Tampering with Physical Evidence from April 22, 2012 and was sentenced to six years deferred adjudication probation, $2500 fine, court cost, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, 150 hours community service restitution and provide DNA sample and urinalysis.

Kimble also plead guilty to Delivery of Marijuana from July 17, 2012 and was sentenced to 45 days in the Washington County Jail, court cost, and a $180 lab fee.

Forty-nine year old Darrin Kenneth Hiles of Brenham plead guilty to Theft $1500-$20,000 from May 9, 2011, and had his probation revoked and sentenced to 8 months in the TDCJ, ordered to pay court cost, court-appointed attorney fee, and $3370 in restitution.

Thirty-three year old Kevin Wayne Bush of Brenham, plead guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance from April 19, 2014 and was sentenced to two years in the TDCK probated for three years, $1500 fine, court cost, $180 lab fee, 120 hours of community service restitution, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, drug offender education program, and provide DNA and urinalysis sample.

Thirty-one year old Portia Woodfork of Brenham plead guilty to Assault Casing Bodily Injry from December 17, 2010, and was sentenced to one year deferred adjudication probation, court cost, 75 hours community service restitution, anger management class, no contact with the victim in this case, no contact with the co-defendants in this case, no contact with the Brenham State Supported Living Center, not work as a caretaker while on probation and provide DNA and urinalysis sample.

The following individuals were sentenced by the Court, and NOT a plea bargain agreement, and was heard by Judge Reva L Towslee Corbett.

Thirty-nine year old Kelvin Dewayne Mathis of Brenham plead guilty of Delivery of a Controlled Substance from September 1, 2010, and sentenced to ten years deferred adjudication probation, $2,000 fine, court cost, $50 Crime Stoppers Fee, $140 lab fee, 300 hours community service restitution, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, Victim Impact Panel-mentor/speak to youth on the use of drugs, provide DNA sample and urinalysis. The State of Texas through Eric Berg, asked the Court to sentence him to the TDCJ.

 

This case was heard by 21st District Court Judge Carson Campbell:

Twenty-six year old Nolan Joseph Sconyers of Brenham plead guilty to Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon from June 3, 2011. On April 23, 2013, the defendant was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication probation. He violated his probation, and on February 12, 2015, the Court ordered that he remain on probation, must successfully complete Substance Abuse  Felony Punishment Facility Program, complete Intermediate Sanction Facility substance abuse track, and then Intermediate Sanction Facility-cognitive track, then spend 180 days in the Washington County Jail and must pay remaining court-ordered monies. At minimum, defendant will be in placement for two years.
