THOUSANDS ATTEND CHAPPELL HILL BLUEBONNET FESTIVAL

Thousands traveled to Chappell Hill this weekend to enjoy the 53rd annual Bluebonnet Festival.

Families were able to enjoy the picturesque countryside and welcome in the spring season while celebrating the state flower, the Texas Bluebonnet.

Throughout the two-day event, the Chappell Hill Historical Society gave tours of the community. There was country-style food, pony rides, a petting zoo, artists, and over 250 juried vendors.

There was also a variety of musical performances on three different stages. Featured performers included Abigail Taylor, Cloggers Unlimited, Julia Hatfield, Jim Mazurkiewicz and Polska Kapela, Trey & Amerida, Jeff Jacobs Band and Gary Durrenberger.

In a statement on their Facebook page, the Bluebonnet Festival’s organizers thanked donors, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and staff, for another successful year saying, “You all make it possible for us at the Chappell Hill Historical Society to focus on our mission to preserve, interpret, and educate the public about our history and culture.”
