THOUSANDS VISIT CHAPPELL HILL FOR SCARECROW FESTIVAL
Thousands of people flocked to the Chappell Hill area this weekend for the 39th Annual Scarecrow Festival.
Bob Davis, the President of the Chappell Hill Historical Society, says the organization spent “countless hours preparing the Society’s property, lining up volunteers and working with community leaders and businesses to bring nearly 30,000 visitors to the area”.
Davis says the event benefits many of the hotels, bed and breakfast venues, businesses and restaurants of Chappell Hill and the surrounding communities. Visitors this weekend enjoyed a variety of vendors, shopping, musical entertainment, decorated homes and of course- scarecrows.
The Chappell Hill Historical Society contracted an aerial flyover from John Deans of Central Texas Drones during this weekend’s event.
