THREE ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN FAYETTE CO. TRAFFIC STOP

  

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports the arrests of two people on drug charges.

Deputy Colin Godmintz was on patrol on SH 71 near West Point and stopped a Ford Explorer just after midnight Saturday for a traffic violation.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of Cocaine from the vehicle’s console.  Further search revealed marijuana as well.

Taken into custody were: 24-year old Sintenyehu Abagaz, 23-year old Abel Girmai Kahsai and 17-year old Kayla Athile Medlock all of Houston.

All three were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.  Medlock was also charged with Introduction of a Prohibited Substance into a Correctional Facility.
