THREE INJURED IN FM 50 ACCIDENT

  

Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision Thursday just south of College Station.

The accident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on F.M. 50, just south of F.M. 60.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, a southbound-vehicle drove off the road, then overcorrected into the northbound lane, where it was struck on the passenger side by an oncoming vehicle.

According to DPS, both drivers have serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in the second vehicle has life-threatening injuries, and was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Both north and southbound lanes of F.M. 50 were temporarily closed as the scene was cleared.
