THREE PEOPLE RECEIVE PRISON TIME IN DISTRICT COURT

Three people plead guilty and received prison sentences this week in District Court.  Washington County.  District Attorney Julie Renken reports that Tony Chavis, age 37 of Houston was sentenced to 11 years in the Texas Department of Corrections for a burglary of a habitation offence in September of 2013.

Matthew John Maciel, age 31 of Huntsville was sentenced to 4 years in TDC for possession of a controlled substance 1 to 4 grams.

Toney Curtis, age 36 of Hempstead was sentenced to 4 years in TDC for a forgery offence from May of 2015.

Two persons also plead guilty and had their probation revoked or adjudicated.  Markell Lashawn Nealy, age 34 of Houston had his probation adjudicated for a 2010 forgery conviction and was sentenced to 180 days in State jail.

Jordan Anthony Spahn, age 43 of Brenham had his probation revoked for a 2012 possession of a controlled substance conviction and was sentenced to 12 months in State jail.
