THREE PROPERTIES ACTED ON BY BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION

  

The Brenham Building and Standards Commission took action on three properties during their meeting Wednesday evening.  The owner of the old Polar Ice building at 312/314 South Park Street was given 30 days to make the building weather tight and secure.  The commercial building has come under disrepair and has several openings in the exterior walls.

Two unoccupied residential structures were also acted on.  The owners of a house at 1210 Travis Street and a trailer house at 2232 Old Chappell Hill Road were given 60 days to make repairs to bring the properties into code or the city would demolish them.  Both homes appear to be in very poor condition and have not had city utility service for several years.
