THREE RIBBON CUTTINGS SCHEDULED FOR JUNE
Three ribbon cuttings have been scheduled for the month of June; two Chamber new members and one groundbreaking.
On Friday, June 3rd, Truth BBQ will have its new member ribbon cutting at 10:30am at 2990 Highway 290 W. Select Furnishings groundbreaking ribbon cutting will follow on Tuesday, June 7th at 10:00am at 1900 Highway 290 W.
On Friday, June 10th, at 11:30am Lighthouse Business Solutions at 1610 N. Park Street.

Congratulations, to the new business opening and groundbreaking; especially with your business being located within the Brenham city limits and with the ever increasing property taxes that are on the rise again here in Brenham. My project took over a year to get approved with the city planning department. By the time it was approved, I spent tens of thousands of dollars in additional design fees in platting my property and site detention calculations on property that was previously built on. Not to mention, that the project delay will now incur the increase costs of concrete by 30%. And now the property taxes has increased again. It makes me wonder if the increase of property taxes is necessary to cover the operating costs of the burdensome city planning department. Good luck with your new business ventures I am happy that you succeeded with overcoming the cumbersome city planning procedures.
