TOMBALL MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED IN WALLER CO.

A man wanted for a murder in Tomball was apprehended in Waller County Wednesday evening.

Michael Brandon Jemison

Tomball Police Department announced 29-year-old Michael Brandon Jemison had been arrested and charged with murder Wednesday night. Authorities say they found Jemison at a house on Winding Way in Waller County.

A manhunt went underway after police say Jemison hit Justin Jones in the head at the Tomball Walmart around 1 a.m. Monday. Jones was rushed to an area hospital, but died several hours later from his injuries.

Tomball Police released a photo from the store’s surveillance camera, showing a man they say is Jemison, walking out of the Walmart with a white motorcycle helmet. Detectives asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

Police say Jemison was expected to turn himself in Tuesday afternoon, but never showed up. The Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitives Task Force then worked to apprehend Jemison Wednesday evening at the home in Waller County.

Police say the attack was not random as they believe Jemison and Jones knew each other.
