TPSOA ENDORSES LOIS KOLKHORST FOR TEXAS SENATE

  

The Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association has endorsed Lois Kolkhorst in her bid for the Texas Senate.

Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) had announced that she would run for state Sen. Genn Hegar’s seat if Hegar won his bid for election to the Comptroller’s office on Tuesday. The win by Hegar triggered a special election for his Senate seat.

Sgt. Gary Chandler, DPSOA-PAC President said, “We believe that Rep. Kolkhorst has a strong record of supporting state employees, law enforcement, and the state’s commissioned peace officers, and we want to add our voice in recognition of her efforts to champion these good causes.”

Kolkhorst’s District 13 serves Austin, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette, Grimes, Lavaca and Washington Counties.

The Senate District 18 includes all of parts of 21 counties including Aransas, Austin, Burleson, Calhoun, Colorado, De Witt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Goliad, Gonzales, Harris, Jackson, Lavaca, Lee, Matagorda, Nueces, Refugio, Victoria, Waller, Washington, and Wharton.
