TRAIN DERAILS IN SOUTH HEARNE
Eighteen train cars derailed in south Hearne Friday night, hitting a train on a different track and spilling coal.
According to Union Pacific Railroad, no one was injured in the incident. The derailment occurred just after 9 p.m. near Green Street when the train carrying coal was making a turn.
The cause of the derailment is unknown at this time.
Traffic along Highway 6 was not affected by the incident.
