TWO ARRESTED FOR GRIMES COUNTY MURDER

Two men have been arrested in connection with the Grimes County murder of a Madisonville man last month.
42-year old James Daniel “Danny” Green, of Bedias, and 23-year old Colton Joe Manning, of Madisonville,have been charged with the murder of Jason Currie.
According to a probable cause statement, Green has admitted that he and Manning shot Currie during what was supposedly a drug deal gone bad.

Currie was reported missing on June 25th.
A friend of Currie’s reportedly told authorities he and Currie had gone to meet Green and Manning at Green's residence in Bedias to buy methamphetamine.
The friend said Manning and Green shot Currie, while he escaped.
When Green was questioned, authorities say he admitted that he and Manning had shot Currie, and dumped his body in a creek bed off County Road 142, where it was discovered last week.
Green and Manning are in the Grimes County Jail, each on $500,000 bond.
