TWO ARRESTED IN BRENHAM ON VARIOUS CHARGES

Two people face charges after their arrests in Brenham this weekend.
Late Friday afternoon, Officer Terrence Johnson saw a group of people walking in the left lane of traffic in the 400 block of W. Main.
Johnson says as he spoke with them, he could smell the odor of marijuana.
One of the men, identified as 18-year old Emmison Uzo Aniekwu, of Houston, admitted to having marijuana, and during a probable cause search, Johnson found baggies of marijuana.
Dispatch also advised Johnson that Aniekwu was wanted out of Harris County for theft of property.
During a search of 19-year old Devijea Kiser-Carter of Brenham, Cpl. Tommy Kurie discovered a gun which was reported stolen out of Harris County.

Aniekwu was charged with Possession of marijuana under 2 oz, and Theft of property out of Harris County. Kiser-Carter is charged with Unlawful carrying a weapon and Theft of a firearm.
