TWO ARRESTED IN FAYETTE COUNTY ON DRUG CHARGES

  

Two Houston residents face drug charges in Fayette County after their arrest on Tuesday.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Tuesday at approximately 11:00 a.m. Fayette County Dispatch received a call from DEA out of Austin in reference to a narcotics deal which was going to take place in Fayette County.

The transaction of approximately 500 assorted pills took place at a business in Ellinger.

Both parties involved in the transaction were stopped, one in Colorado County and the other in Bastrop County.

The individuals who brought the pills from Houston and delivered them to the location in Ellinger was stopped by Colorado County Sheriff’s Office and brought back to Fayette County to face charges for Delivery of a controlled substance because the offense took place in Fayette County.

The two individuals who were arrested and booked into the Fayette County Jail for delivery of a controlled substance were 30 year old Eric Lee Williams out of Houston and 40 year old Madlyn Noami Jones also of Houston.

The other individual who purchased the pills was from Austin was stopped by Bastrop County.

Due to the open investigation by the DEA, the name of the individual that was stopped by Bastrop County is being withheld.

The DEA was assisted by The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit in getting the case prepared for prosecution in Fayette County
