TWO ARRESTED OVERNIGHT BY BRENHAM POLICE

  

Two women were taken into custody on various charges after their arrests at a local department store, Monday night.

Around 7:30, Officer Ashley Burns responded to the local WalMart in the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a theft.

According to Burns, 36-year old Tonya Chacaga of Waller was located and taken into custody for theft of several items.

Further investigation revealed Chacaga had multiple warrants out for her arrest and a theft with previous conviction charge.

A second suspect, 34-year old Christal DeAvila of Brenham was taken into custody for two active warrants out of Washington County and was in possession of marijuana.

Both women were taken into custody and transported to the Washington Co. Jail.
