TWO CHILDREN KILLED IN GRIMES CO. ACCIDENT

  

Two children are dead followin an accident Wednesday, on Highway 90 in Grimes County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the two children, ages two and five, were killed when the car they were riding in was struck by an 18-wheeler.

The children's mother and older sibling were both seriously injured. The mother was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. The 6-year-old was taken by medical helicopter to McLane Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. about a mile south of Bedias. Investigators said that Montiqua Mosley was driving her 2007 Mazda sedan and making a turn into a private drive when her vehicle was struck by an 18-wheeler.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the accident. The nature of the crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
