TWO DEAD IN BURLESON COUNTY CAR ACCIDENT
Two people are dead after a car accident last (Thursday) night in Burleson County.
According to DPS, just after 6:40 p.m. a 2002 Nissan Ultima traveling westbound on FM 60 near Lyons crossed the center line and hit a 2001 Honda Odyssey van head-on
The driver of the Nissan, 26-year-old Jordan Blake Rathjen, of Caldwell, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to authorities, he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the van, 63-year-old Wonda Whitefield Brock, of Paradise, was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's in Bryan but died while in transit.
The investigation into the accident continues.
