TWO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARRESTED OVER BRASS KNUCKLES

Two Brenham High School students are in custody after their arrests for having a weapon on school grounds.

Thursday morning, Cpl. Casey Thumann was told by Central Communications that they had received a tip from Crime Stoppers that a 16-year old male was bringing cocaine to Brenham High School to sell to another student.

Thumann contacted high school administrators who had received the same information.

While they were searching the student, they found a pair of brass knuckles in his backpack.

Assistant High School Principals Joey Schoener and Michael Watts informed Thumann that they had been told a 15-year old male student sold the brass knuckles to the juvenile.

After talking with that student, he admitted to having sold the weapon for $60.

Both juveniles were arrested for possessing a weapon in a prohibited place, a third degree felony.

They were transported to the Milam County Regional Juvenile Justice Center.
