TWO LOCAL ATHLETES TO COMPETE IN ASTROS PH&R FINALS
Two young Brenham athletes will be competing for a chance to compete on the national stage.
Bailey Bolcerek, a 4th grader at Brenham Elementary School, and Jacob Mabie, a 7th grader at Brenham Junior High, have advanced to the Astros’ Finals of MLB Pitch, Hit and Run.
Bailey, the daughter of Jason and Stacey Bolcerek, and Jacob, the son of Gwynne and John Mabie, qualified for the Houston Astros Championship Round of Pitch, Hit and Run.
By winning Local and Regional rounds against athletes from Texas, Louisiana & Mississippi, the two are each 1 of 3 competitors advancing to the Astros’ Championship.
The two will compete on Sunday, June 3rd, at 7:30 a.m. at Minute Maid Park.
If they win this round they're on to MLB All-Star Game for the National Pitch, Hit and Run Competition.
