VICTIMS IN GRIMES CO. ACCIDENT IDENTIFIED
Two people who died Tuesday in a late night accident along Highway 90 in Grimes County have been identified.
Troopers say a 2004 Dodge passenger vehicle was driving southbound in the northbound lanes near the community of Singleton, southeast of Iola, and collided head-on with another car.
The driver of the Dodge has been identified as 43-year old Robert Gonzalez, of Grapevine. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the car, a 2007 Kia, was killed at the scene. She's been identified as 64-year old Shirley Robertson, of Marshall.
The driver of the Kia, 36-year old Shareeta Benson, of Longview, is hospitalized in critical condition.
