VIDEO OF SNOOK INSTRUCTOR PUSHING STUDENT POSTED

A Snook ISD instructor has been removed from his position after a video was posted online allegedly showing him pushing a student multiple times.

According to KBTX, the video was posted on Thursday evening by Stacey Williams, who is a mother of a student. Williams says her son took the video and then showed it to an administrator. According to Williams the administrator deleted the video off the phone, however her son had already sent the video to another device.

The video shows a man picking up a child and then pushing him into a bean bag. When the child resists, he grabs the child by the arm and brings him to his feet. Eventually, the man flips the child around and pushes him into the bean bag.

Snook ISD has released the following statement on their Facebook page:

“The Snook ISD Administration became aware of an incident of concern in which a Snook ISD employee was attempting to exert discipline and control over a young student. The incident was immediately reported by another student to the principal. The principal did an excellent job in quickly obtaining and preserving available video evidence from school cameras and a student's mobile device. The instructor was immediately removed from duty pending a full review and investigation of the matter. Our top priority is for our students to be treated in a safe and respectful manner when they are in our care.”

  1. True people are judgemental when it comes to someone’s else’s kids. I’m not gone say what my kids will and will not do behind my back, but they do know what discipline is and I don’t need no one else putting their hands on my kids unless I give permission. If parents will raise their kids and stop being their friend the teachers wouldn’t have a problem with them. It’s always another side to the story.

  2. Wow it doesn’t matter if the boy is discipline by his parents or not. No child should have to go through that especially from a teacher. What if it was your child?? You would be pressing charges also.

    1. False. If this was my child and this whole incident started because my child was hitting other students, then my child would get a good old fashion whoopin. My children would know better than to do something like this because I keep them in line and have taught them discipline. This unfortunately is something parents don’t do anymore as they just let their kids run wild. Becoming a parent is about teaching your kids the difference between right and wrong and when they do something wrong they need to have a punishment or else they will keep doing it because they know they won’t get in trouble. Bring back the paddle if that will teach kids to respect authority. BUT as I said before, this story needs more background. I’m just making an inference here.

  3. I saw the video and this child should have never been treated this way.. That was not the disciplinary action that should have been taken.. Our teachers are there to teach not bully a child.. If this young child was causing that big of a disruption he should have been removed from the classroom and taken to the office.

  4. Disciplining the child…probably something the boy’s parents have never done. Need more details though. Was the boy punching and hurting other students? Should be interesting to see the story behind the video.

    1. That is no way to discipline a child. You would feel differently if it were your child. There are set policies for discipline and I’m sure it doesn’t include pushing and shoving a child around like a punching bag is not included. Even if the child MIGHT have been acting up for whatever reason, still does not justify a child being knocked around from from an adult authority figure. People are so judgemental when it comes to other peoples’ children.
