VIGIL HELD FOR MISSING LEE CO. WOMAN

Family and friends of a missing Giddings woman held a candlelight vigil last (Friday) night, praying for her safe return.

26 year old eJennifer Lynn Bailey has been missing since she was last seen at work late Monday afternoon.  Bailey, who has a 3 year old daughter, called her brother Monday afternoon saying she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, and no longer wanted to live with him.  Her brother told her to go to their mother’s house, but Bailey never arrived.  Family members say a text they received at 6:14 p.m. Monday could be taken as a suicide note.  Bailey’s boyfriend has been questioned by authorities, who do not suspect foul play at this time.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says Bailey drives a black 2008 Dodge Avenger with a large dent on the driver’s side door, and paint damage to the roof.  The license plate is CV9-R188.  Bailey is 4’11” tall, approximately 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.  Anyone who sees Bailey or has information about her disappearance is asked to contact Deputy Jessup or Crockett at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 979-542-2800.
