VOTE ON NEW CITY MANAGER SHOULD BE SWIFT

Tomorrow’s vote on a new city manager for the City of Brenham should be a short process.

City Manager Terry Roberts

The council has reportedly reached a unanimous decision on who will be taking over the post.

The Brenham Banner Press is reporting that council members have agreed on their top candidate after a second round of interviews Monday.

The council interviewed three finalists, Monday: James Fisher, former city manager in Forney, Texas; Chris Heard, former city manager in Lebanon, Missouri; and Carolyn Miller, current Brenham assistant city manager and chief financial officer.

Mayor Milton Tate tells the Banner that he expects the final vote to be unanimous.

Terry Roberts has announced he will be stepping down January 31st after 17 years as city manager.

  1. Sounds like this News Flash is intended to put Peer Pressure on anyone that doesn’t agree with with Mayor.
