WALL COLLAPSES AT SHSU REC. CENTER

  

Crews at Sam Houston State continue to clean up after Thursday night's rain and flooding that hit the Huntsville area.

The biggest damage came after an exterior wall of the Recreational Sports Center collapsed.

Then there were reports of water starting to seep in over at the Recreational Sports center. Witnesses say the water began to build, forcing its way in-taking an exterior wall down with it.

Repair crews began working around the clock to clean up the water and reseal the hole before the next round of storms move in.

Staff members say the rec center will be closed for at least the next month but hope to have it open by the start of summer school.
